Role Purpose

The Customer Development (Vertical) – Operations & Planning role is responsible for driving seamless coordination across bottlers, franchise teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective business planning, operational execution, commercial launches, and portfolio development. The role acts as a central point of contact to support customer development initiatives, cross-functional alignment, and business growth across the Coca-Cola System.

1. Stakeholder Management & Bottler Coordination

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary coordination point between Coca-Cola and bottler teams for Customer Development initiatives.
  • Drive end-to-end planning and execution of key business activities, including:
    • Annual Business Planning (ABP)
    • Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews
    • Commercialization of new products and packs
    • Operational planning and execution
    • Sales incentive program rollout and governance
    • Customer Development initiatives supporting business growth
  • Ensure timely communication, alignment, and execution across all bottler stakeholders.
  • Track action items, follow up on deliverables, and ensure milestone adherence.
  • Facilitate issue resolution by coordinating with relevant cross-functional teams.

2. Internal Franchise Coordination & Stakeholder Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate closely with Integrated Franchise teams to align Customer Development priorities with franchise business objectives.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for Customer Development-related communication across franchise functions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Sales, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Support governance meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between franchise teams and bottlers for smooth execution of business plans.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to achieve Customer Development objectives.

3. Beacon / Focus Brand Planning & Commercial Execution

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Beacon and Focus Brand initiatives.
  • Manage commercialization activities from planning through successful market launch.
  • Support:
    • Annual and monthly planning
    • Sales forecasting
    • Demand generation planning
    • Supply planning and execution
    • Marketing activation tracking
  • Monitor launch readiness and in-market execution.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Commercial, and Bottlers to ensure timely availability of products.
  • Support the development and execution of segregated packs and portfolio expansion initiatives.
  • Drive Customer Development portfolio growth through effective planning and execution.

4. Data Management, Business Support & Operational Enablement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate Customer Development data from all Integrated Franchises and Independent Bottlers.
  • Prepare business reports, dashboards, presentations, and performance trackers.
  • Support financial and supply-related issue resolution impacting Customer Development initiatives.
  • Analyze business performance and identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure timely availability of accurate business information for leadership reviews and decision-making.
  • Support governance processes by maintaining high-quality business data and reporting standards.

5. Cross-Vertical Coordination & Business Support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Customer Development verticals to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives across:
    • Modern Trade (MT)
    • B2B
    • Q-Commerce
    • E-Commerce
    • Travel Business
    • Railways
    • Quick Service Restaurants (QSR)
  • Coordinate with bottlers to ensure smooth operational execution across all channels.
  • Support planning, commercialization, supply readiness, and business execution for cross-vertical initiatives.
  • Facilitate communication between channel teams, bottlers, and franchise stakeholders.
  • Identify execution challenges and proactively drive resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
