Job Summary
Lead and provide oversight for dedicated delivery operations of assigned cross dock locations, including associate engagement, route management, DOT and Hazardous Material compliance and Fleet Maintenance.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Leads a team of supervisors across regional cross dock locations, driving performance, associate engagement, and labor planning.
- Oversees linehaul performance and quality at assigned cross docks while partnering with upstream fulfillment centers.
- Delivers on customer requirements with minimal service disruption.
- Manages transportation service levels as the liaison between locations and carriers, ensuring compliance with approved carrier usage.
- Evaluates cross dock productivity, service, compliance, and route optimization in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborates with onsite supervisors to resolve delivery issues and escalates recurring trends to regional leadership..
- Conducts transportation audits to ensure delivery efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
