  • Review new lending requests, increased facilities, annual reviews, excesses, and loan variations.

  • Provide guidance to Relationship Managers and Rural Banking teams on credit submissions and account strategies.

  • Support and influence stakeholders to enhance the quality and effectiveness of credit applications.

  • Prepare recommendations for higher delegated authorities where required.

  • Ensure timely turnaround of applications in accordance with service level agreements.

  • Monitor and manage portfolio risks, identifying deteriorating trends and emerging risks.

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of credit policies, procedures, and lending practices.

  • Support strong risk governance and portfolio management outcomes across the Country Banking business.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong banking experience with exposure to rural and commercial lending.

  • Proven credit assessment and decision-making experience within a delegated authority framework.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Agribusiness, or a related discipline.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong credit analysis and commercial lending skills.

  • Ability to interpret financial statements, cash flows, balance sheets, and valuations.

  • Sound understanding of agricultural industries and rural production systems.

  • Proven capability in credit writing and presenting complex lending proposals.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Collaborative mindset with the confidence to make balanced risk-based decisions.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality outcomes.

Why Rabobank?

We offer:

  • Hybrid working arrangements.

  • Career development and learning opportunities.
