Overview & Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Cost Management Manager provides leadership for the New Apparatus Cost Management Team for the complete responsibilities and ownership of the following:

Improve Ebara Elliott Energy costing accuracy and profitability by continuously analyzing the cost management cost models with the input from the appropriate global Ebara Elliott Energy teams (i.e. manufacturing, Procurement, etc.) by using a change management system and recommend corrective actions after analysis of product cost influences.

Support and lead efforts to integrate (where applicable) cost management cost models.

Maintain CPQ master cost tables for product lines for both the Jeannette and international factories.

Review as shipped costs of equipment comparing and analyzing them against master cost tables.

Support all Elliott cost reduction team efforts.

Implement and maintain a centralized location where supply chain management can update material costs/pounds with a history record. Automate a system to update the cost management cost models.

Lead team of analysist providing technical and administration oversight and direction.

Coordinate the costing of split-scope opportunities with Sodegaura cost management team.
BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred
-
Minimum of ten years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing environment

Previous supervisory experience and skills to lead an analytical cost estimating type team preferred

Project Management experience required to keep the quotations and cost build-ups: on schedule through tasks, within budget, minimize risk, maintain quality and establish priorities effectively

Understanding of the balance of internal cost structures, market value, and margin goals
-
Comprehensive understanding of financial, manufacturing, and marketing organizations and methods (within Elliott, preferred)

Superior analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills for delivering presentations, conducting meetings and interfacing with internal/external customers and suppliers
-
Aptitude to understand the interrelationships among departments and support interfacing with all disciplines on technical and costing requirements

Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or similar

Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite programs, etc. (advanced capability with Excel and a basic programming background preferred)

This job is a natural progression after a candidate has held prior engineering and/or marketing positions.

Self-motivated individual that requires minimal amount of direct supervision

Excellent Problem-Solving techniques and creative thinking skills required for the day-to-day challenges and to persuasively facilitate solutions to obstacles presented by aspects of the business.

Prepare, deliver, timely and accurate Engineered Products project cost estimates supporting all Ebara Elliott Energy quotation activity through Ebara Elliott Global Sales and Application Engineering teams.

Improve Elliott Group costing accuracy and profitability by continuously analyzing the cost management cost models with the input from the appropriate Elliott Group Teams (i.e. manufacturing, Procurement, etc.) by using a change management system and recommend corrective actions after analysis of product cost influences.

Develop and maintain a process to capture Competitive Market Level Intelligence and deliver to Global Sales Competitive Market Level Pricing.

Support all Elliott cost reduction team efforts.

Coordinate the costing of split-scope opportunities with international cost management team.
