The Manager, Cost & Financial Planning is responsible for analyzing trends and metrics, and designing and executing project plans to convert analysis to action plans and solutions. The position will also be responsible for developing timely, accurate, and actionable data and analysis to help guide the business.

General Responsibilities
• Manage cost and financial planning and analysis activities to identify risks and opportunities and contribute to the achievement of the organization's short and long-term financial goals
• Manage various projects; evaluate findings, prepare reports and make recommendations to senior management about the financial implications of proposed investments and transactions
• Performs variance analysis between actual, prior and standard costs
• Analyze financial data and create cost and financial models for decision support
• Guide the development of financial and cost strategies that align with the organization's overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives
• Establish and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with the external financial community
• Manage a team of financial professionals to ensure financial planning and analysis projects are conducted credibly and that recommendations and reports are accurate and timely
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
• Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Standardization of procedural expectations and accountability setting across the functional teams:

  • Construct reviews by customer/key account to track / pulse monthly pricing situation
  • Driving awareness around tier disconnects / pending collections
  • Close monitoring of SHP and Demantra Pricing updates / collaboration with Marketing team
  • Pricing accrual maintenance and aging risk assessment with Corporate Accounting
  • Close review and monitoring of over/short payments to release benefits as needed

Overall alignment of total Net Revenue, inclusive but not limited to:

  • Global consolidation of non-shipment net revenue and impact to our daily/weekly fill reporting
  • Direct alignment with commercial finance team of global Net Revenue and associated reporting detail
  • Support in Pricing reconciliations, partnering with regional finance teams

Candidate should be a self-starter who is eager to jump in to learn the mechanics, while being able to elevate the bigger picture report out highlighting the risk areas. Continuous procedural improvement is a big area of opportunity in this role. Candidate should also be prepared to think outside the box, to conform best practices, while partnering cross functionally.
