Collectors is the leading creator of innovative technology that provides value-added services for collectors worldwide. We grade, authenticate, vault, and sell millions of record-setting collectibles, all while modernizing and digitalizing the process to further our mission of helping collectors pursue their passions. We’re always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team.

Our services span collectible trading cards, autographs, comic books, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia. Our subsidiaries include PSA, PCGS, Beckett, SGC, and Card Ladder.

Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 3000 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana, California and offices in New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Canada, Mexico, Germany, and France.

As part of our interview process, we request that candidates have their cameras on during video interviews. This helps foster meaningful conversation and allows us to create an experience that closely resembles our standard working environment. Certain interview steps may take place by phone. For remote roles, and at our discretion, candidates may be asked to participate in an on-site interview as part of the final stages of the process.

We understand there may be occasional circumstances requiring accommodation and are happy to discuss them as needed. Your recruiter will be able to clarify expectations and answer any questions you have.

Collectors is looking for a driven, analytically sharp Manager, Corporate Development to join our Finance, Strategy & Corporate Development team. This role will be at the center of Collectors' inorganic growth agenda — owning M&A diligence, leading integration programs, and building the financial models and strategic analyses that inform our most consequential decisions. You will work directly with the VP of Corporate Development, Strategy & IR and partner closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and senior leadership to execute transactions from origination through close and into integration.

This role is ideal for someone with investment banking, private equity, or corporate development experience who is ready to own high-stakes work in a fast-moving, PE-backed environment.

You'll report to the VP of Corporate Development, Strategy & IR and work from our Santa Ana, CA corporate headquarters. Remote or hybrid candidates will also be considered. We believe that there is significant value in in-person collaboration. If you live within a 1 hour commuting distance to one of our offices, you will be required to be onsite most of the time. This will be discussed further as part of the recruiting process.

What You'll Do:

M&A Diligence

  • Own end-to-end program management of M&A diligence processes — build and maintain detailed workstream trackers and coordinate across functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations, HR, etc.) to ensure diligence is completed on schedule and to a high standard

  • Build financial models to evaluate acquisition targets, including 3-statement models, valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions), and accretion/dilution analysis

  • Synthesize diligence findings across workstreams into concise executive summaries and materials for senior leadership review

  • Develop and maintain a rigorous issues and risk log; surface critical diligence findings and blockers proactively to drive resolution in partnership with senior leadership and workstream owners

M&A Integration

  • Lead integration program management for acquired businesses — design and maintain the integration roadmap, establish governance cadences, and track progress against key milestones from Day 1 planning through steady-state operations

  • Translate high-level integration strategy into detailed, actionable workstream plans; hold workstream owners accountable for deliverables

  • Prepare regular integration status updates for senior stakeholders, distilling complex multi-workstream progress into clear narratives

  • Design and run governance cadences across active programs — standing meetings, status reviews, and decision-making forums — ensuring the right people are in the room and outcomes are clearly documented

Strategic Analysis & Deal Support

  • Conduct market sizing, competitive landscape, and strategic rationale analyses to support deal sourcing and prioritization decisions

  • Support business development efforts, including the evaluation of new market entry opportunities, partnerships, and minority investments

  • Build and maintain deal pipeline tracking and target screening frameworks

Executive Communication & Advisor Coordination

  • Prepare deal status updates, investment memos, and executive-ready presentations for CFO reviews, board sessions, and advisor meetings

  • Manage coordination with external advisors — legal counsel, financial advisors, and consultants — ensuring deliverables are on track and integrated into the master deal plan

  • Serve as the institutional memory for active deals — maintaining documentation, tracking decisions, and ensuring knowledge continuity as teams scale and scope evolves

Who You Are:

  • 4–7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, management consulting, or a related field

  • Strong M&A transaction experience — you have worked on live deals and understand the rhythm of diligence, negotiation, and close

  • Strong financial modeling skills: 3-statement models, DCF, comparable company and precedent transaction analysis, accretion/dilution

  • Exceptional program manager — you can build and hold together a complex, multi-workstream process under pressure and drive accountability across teams without direct authority

  • Clear and confident communicator with the ability to distill complexity into executive-ready materials; polished written and verbal communication skills are essential

  • High ownership mentality with a bias toward action — you anticipate problems before they escalate, drive clarity from ambiguity, and don't wait to be told what to do

  • Collaborative team player who builds trust quickly across functions and seniority levels, including working effectively with C-suite leaders and external advisors

  • Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed, or pre-IPO environment strongly preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Sheets and AI tools; familiarity with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) a plus

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required; MBA or CFA a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time.

  • Hand Use: Regular hand use for various tasks.

  • Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.

  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 25 pounds.

  • Phone Answering: Talking on the phone and texting may be required, as well as manual dexterity to operate a computer and phone system efficiently.

  • Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $125,307 – $170,000. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set. This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus of up to 10% of base salary, as well as other forms of compensation — please ask your recruiter for details.

Reasons To Join Us:

  • Health Insurance: All full-time employees are eligible to enroll in Medical, Dental, and Vision

  • Additional Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for fertility, commuter, and educational assistance benefits

  • 401(K) Matching Plan: We are proud to offer a competitive 401k matching plan to our employees to support their future financial goals

  • Vacation: All salaried employees are eligible for flexible time-off

  • Holiday Pay: All regular, full-time employees are eligible for ten company paid holidays

  • Employee Discounts: Employees receive discounts on select grading services for approved submissions

  • Flexible Hours: Many of our teams offer flexible schedules with varying shifts and will work with you to accommodate your needs

  • Fun Working Environment: Our team members are invited to participate in celebrations, holiday events, and team building activities
