Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the development, negotiation, and management of corporate contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory compliance. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to create and review contracts that optimize service delivery and financial performance. Ensures all agreements adhere to hospital policies and legal requirements while fostering strong relationships with external partners.Essential Functions:
-Develops, negotiates, and manages corporate contracts to support the hospital's strategic goals and operational needs.
-Collaborates with clinical, financial, and operational teams to ensure contract terms align with organizational objectives.
-Ensures contracts comply with hospital policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.
-Maintains and updates a contract management database, tracking contract status, renewals, and performance metrics.
-Identifies opportunities to optimize contract terms, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
-Liaises with external partners, including vendors, insurers, and managed care organizations, to negotiate and execute contracts.
-Reviews contract performance regularly, recommending adjustments or renegotiations as necessary to meet evolving hospital needs.
-Provides guidance and support to hospital leadership regarding contractual obligations, risk management, and legal considerations.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Law or a related field of study required
Experience
Experience in contract management, healthcare contracting, or managed care 3-5 years required
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role 2-3 years required
Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting 2-3 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for healthcare contracts.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze and interpret contract terms and legal language.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
Working Schedule
Hybrid, with onsite required as needed for staff and vendor meetings at MGB sites, approximately once per week.
