Position OverviewThe Manager, Corporate Communications – Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong & Taiwan (the markets) will support the planning and execution of corporate communications initiatives that strengthen the company's reputation, increase visibility of key business priorities, and support growth across the entertainment and streaming business.
Based in Taipei, this role will work closely with regional and local stakeholders to deliver integrated communications programs across the markets. The Manager will drive media relations, support executive and internal communications, localize regional campaigns, and help manage issues and reputation risks across the cluster.
The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with experience in entertainment, media, streaming, technology, or consumer brands. The successful candidate will combine strong media instincts with excellent execution skills, be comfortable working across diverse markets, and excel at building relationships with different stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone ready to step into a regional communications position with meaningful ownership while continuing to grow their strategic communications expertise.
ResponsibilitiesCorporate Communications & Media Relations- Execute corporate communications strategies and campaigns across the markets.
- Develop compelling stories that enhance the company's reputation and support business priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with media across business, entertainment, technology, and lifestyle publications.
- Draft press releases, media materials, Q&As, briefing documents, fact sheets, and other communications assets.
- Support media outreach and coordinate interviews, press briefings, executive engagements, and corporate announcements.
- Monitor media coverage and industry developments and provide timely insights to stakeholders.
- Support communications activities for streaming, content, and entertainment initiatives across the markets.
- Partner closely with marketing, content, and business teams to localize and amplify regional campaigns.
- Help drive earned media coverage for content launches, partnerships, corporate initiatives, and consumer-facing campaigns.
- Identify storytelling opportunities that highlight the company's content, innovation, creative partnerships, and audience experiences.
- Support executive visibility initiatives for local and regional leaders.
- Prepare briefing documents, talking points, presentations, key messages, and employee communications.
- Coordinate media opportunities, speaking engagements, and industry events involving senior leadership.
- Support internal communications initiatives that keep employees informed, engaged, and connected to business priorities.
- Develop employee communications content including announcements, newsletters, leadership messages, and town hall materials.
- Partner with HR and functional teams to communicate key company initiatives and milestones.
- Execute impactful CSR initiatives that contribute to local communities and enhance stakeholder relations, with a focus on children’s hospitals, wish-granting and empowering the next generation of storytellers.
- Monitor emerging issues and potential reputational risks across the four markets.
- Support the development of communications materials and stakeholder messaging during sensitive situations.
- Work closely with regional communications, legal, public affairs, and business teams to ensure coordinated communications responses.
- Maintain and update issues management and communications resources as needed.
- Manage communications agencies across the markets to ensure effective delivery of programs and campaigns.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across communications, marketing, content, consumer products, and business teams.
- Track campaign performance and prepare regular reports on communications outcomes and media coverage.
- Support budget tracking and vendor administration where required.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, or strategic communications.
- Experience in entertainment, streaming/OTT, media, technology, or consumer-facing industries is strongly preferred.
- Experience working across multiple markets or regional environments is a plus.
- Proven experience managing media engagement and external communications campaigns.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Excellent media relations and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to translate business objectives into clear and engaging communications.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Sound judgment and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to working across functions and geographies.
- Familiarity with the media and entertainment landscape in the markets is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Cantonese proficiency is an advantage but not required
