Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) manages the risk strategies across all markets and portfolios to minimize the company’s credit and fraud losses while promoting business growth and delivering superior customer service.

Control Management Risk Pillar Copy (Governance): The objective of the CFR Control Management Governance team is to establish the Operational Risk and Controls strategy for CFR, set up a foundational governance structure that ensures operational risks are identified, assessed, and managed in compliance with enterprise Operational Risk Management programs and reporting.

The focus of this role primarily includes governance of Third Party Lifecycle Management (TLM), Business Continuity Management (BCM), Technology Resilience (TR), Phishing Simulations (PS) and New Product Governance (NPG) programs for CFR  -  Ensure Control/Compliance rating for the applicable programs are protected. Educate and raise awareness among the business to comply with the programs. Implement process improvements to ensure robust TLM program governance for CFR

CFR is looking for a Manager / Sr. Manager of Governance focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of strong B30s responsible for managing the TLM, BCM, TR, PS and NPG Operational Risk Management programs for CFR
  • Partner with other 1st/2nd line of defense organizations – TLM, ORGG, LOBCO, Info Sec, Privacy, Data Management and Governance, ER, TR, NPG , IAG etc. to ensure complete compliance with all TLM pre and post contract TLM requirements
  • Become a trusted advisor to business explaining the rationale for policy related activities and the value that it brings for improving the business control environment
  • Ideating and leading key initiatives/projects and data analytics/coding/automation/AI capabilities focused on robust reporting, tracking, process improvement, driving efficiencies (why we do what we do?)
  • Partner closely with various stakeholders to monitor changes and maintain accurate data, follow pragmatic and risk-based approach to effectively balance policy obligations and control rating impacts against business growth implications
  • Development, maintenance, and comprehensive analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) of TLM dashboard reporting and MIS for senior leadership
  • Support sharing insights, better practices, themes, etc. across the enterprise
Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • 4+ Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous
  • Experience in managing Third Party Lifecycle Management program
  • Experience in at least one of the following: 
  • Translating operational risk strategy and appetite into execution guidelines
  • Review the tracking and identifying of issues with Key Risk Indicator (KRI) limits and risk appetite to ensure operational risks are managed within agreed thresholds
  • Oversee the implementation of the operational risk governance frameworks 
  • Communicating and ensuring understanding and adherence to operational risk procedures and standards 
  • Manage the third-party operational risk exam management processes
