As the Continuous Improvement Capability Manager, you’ll work closely with the Continuous Improvement Delivery Manager to lead the execution of the Freight Process Excellence (FPX) strategy and embed a Continuous Improvement framework that lifts capability across Qantas Freight. You’ll ensure leaders are equipped with practical Lean tools to solve problems, improve their environments and maintain strong operational standards, driving customer, operational and financial benefits that support transformation and long term Freight objectives. 

In this influential role, you’ll coach and mentor senior leaders to build capability and drive a high performance improvement culture. Working across all areas of Freight, you’ll strengthen leaders’ understanding of FPX tools and techniques while proactively identifying opportunities, leading projects and breaking down complex challenges and enabling effective root cause problem solving to deliver impactful, sustainable business outcomes. 

You’ll have:  

  • Continuous Improvement qualifications highly desirable minimum green belt. 
  • Experience coaching and developing skills to assist in delivering business outcomes.  
  • Positive approach to problem solving and the capacity to produce results within  
  • specific timeframes. 
  • Technical ability to communicate with all levels of the business, from senior leadership to the frontline operational employees.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively, influence others and gain cooperation.  
  • History in project delivery experience that has delivered bottom line, customer and employee benefits.  
  • High levels of resilience.  
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel, Power point and Word.
