Job brief:

As the Manager, Content Development, you’ll lead the creation, development, and production of engaging, high-quality content that informs and inspires our audience. You’ll manage a talented team of editors, writers, meteorologists, on-camera talent, and freelancers, ensuring all content meets editorial standards, aligns with brand voice, and supports strategic goals across digital platforms.

The impact you'll make:

  • Oversee the creation, development, and production of content. 
  • Ensure all content is accurate, well-written, and aligns with editorial guidelines.
  • Edit and proofread articles, ensuring high editorial standards are met.
  • Manage a team of editors, writers, meteorologists, on-camera talent, and freelancers. 
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Monitor industry trends and audience preferences to inform content planning.
  • Ensure a balanced mix of content that engages and informs the audience.
  • Maintain open communication with the editorial team to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines. 
  • Manage editorial calendars and content schedules. 
  • Oversee special projects, series, and long-term editorial initiatives. 
  • Ensure timely delivery of all editorial content. 
  • Conduct regular content audits to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Address any issues related to content accuracy, tone, and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you've accomplished:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital content creation.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in digital content creation tools, including content management systems (CMS), graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and video editing tools.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and social media best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to optimize content. 
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for digital content and storytelling.
