Position Overview: 

FGS Global is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Manager of Financial Consolidations to support the Director of Consolidations in overseeing the global financial consolidation process. This key role will assist in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of consolidated financial reporting across multiple regions and business units. The Manager of Financial Consolidations will collaborate with regional finance teams and other departments to ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies while supporting the overall financial integrity of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Consolidation Support:

  • Assist the Director of Consolidations in managing the end-to-end financial consolidation process, including the preparation, review, and analysis of consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data from multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translations.
  • Help maintain and improve consolidation processes and controls to ensure timely and accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

 Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare and review consolidated financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and FGS Global’s internal policies.
  • Support the Director of Consolidations in managing compliance with regulatory requirements and preparing documentation for external audits.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and assist in assessing their impact on the consolidation process, implementing necessary adjustments.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with regional finance teams to gather necessary financial data, ensuring consistency in reporting practices and adherence to consolidation timelines.
  • Serve as a key liaison between regional finance teams and the Director of Consolidations, facilitating clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to regional finance teams on consolidation processes, helping to ensure accuracy and consistency across global financial reporting.

Process Improvement & Technology:

  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the consolidation process.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to optimize the use of financial consolidation software and tools, ensuring they meet the needs of the consolidation process.
  • Assist in managing projects related to system upgrades, integration of new entities, and other initiatives that impact the consolidation process.

Analysis & Strategic Support:

  • Provide analysis and insights on consolidated financial results, identifying trends and variances to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
  • Assist in financial planning and analysis activities related to consolidation, working closely with the FP&A team to align on financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Support due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions into the consolidated financial structure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial consolidation or related roles, preferably within a global organization.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, with experience in preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
  • Proficiency in financial consolidation software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC, Oracle FCCS), and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across regions and departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Experience in a private equity-owned company or a fast-growing environment is a plus.

New York City Salary Range

$90,000$110,000 USD
