How you’ll make an impact 

Be part of FCC’s journey to transform our Total Rewards programs and help shape the future of our compensation strategy. As Manager, Compensation, you’ll leverage your expertise in compensation, job architecture and performance management to support the development and management of compensation programs across the company. You’ll lead the implementation and continuous improvement of compensation programs and processes that align with organizational objectives and support a high-performing workforce.

What you’ll do 

  • Provide leadership, management and subject matter expertise in compensation and performance management 

  • Support and manage job catalogue, job architecture and compensation frameworks 

  • Monitor effectiveness of compensation programs and recommend improvements based on trends and analysis 

  • Manage and align internal processes, including job evaluation and pay structures 

  • Contribute to the design and governance of compensation programs aligned with organizational objectives and best practices 

  • Oversee compensation data, benchmarking, analytics and reporting 

  • Lead pay equity initiatives, including planning, reviewing processes and implementing required changes 

  • Provide leadership for annual market review, performance review and compensation processes 

  • Develop and manage policies, tools and communications related to performance and compensation cycles 

  • Support Board and Human Resources and Governance Committee initiatives and special projects 

  • Lead, coach and develop team members while fostering a high-performing and engaged team culture 

  • Build strong partnerships across teams and stakeholders to support organizational objectives 

 

What you’ll bring to the team 

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, commerce, human resources, or a related field or discipline 

  • At least eight years of related compensation experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) 

  • In-depth knowledge of compensation, job architecture and performance management principles and practices 

  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including Canada Labour Code, Human Rights and Pay Equity 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills 

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders 

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide compensation programs and initiatives 

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation 

  • Working knowledge of Workday 

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
