Job Description

What's the Role

At Dexterra, we support some of North America’s most dynamic work environments—from offices to remote sites—and we know that behind it all is a simple truth: great people drive great outcomes.

That’s where compensation comes in.

We’re looking for a Manager, Compensation Programs who doesn’t just understand compensation—but enjoys digging into it. Someone who can balance strategy and execution, structure and flexibility, and data with real-world decision-making.

If you like building things that actually get used, partnering with leaders, and making sense of complex compensation challenges—this is a role you’ll want to explore.

What You'll Be Doing

Designing Compensation Programs That Actually Work

  • Shape and evolve our base pay structures, job architecture, and incentive programs across Canada and the U.S.
  • Build frameworks that work in a decentralized business (and don’t collapse under their own complexity)
  • Keep us competitive externally and fair internally
  • Support our growing U.S. footprint with regionally relevant approaches

Owning the Annual Compensation Cycle

  • Lead merit and STIP cycles end-to-end (yes—you’re the one who makes it all come together)
  • Build practical tools and models that HR and leaders actually use
  • Partner with Finance to keep everything aligned, accurate, and on track
  • Support executive-level compensation work when needed

Keeping Us Compliant (and Ahead of It)

  • Ensure pay equity compliance across Ontario, Quebec, and the U.S.
  • Spot gaps before they become problems—and help fix them
  • Keep documentation, audits, and standards clean and defensible

Making Dayforce Work Smarter

  • Be the go-to for compensation in Dayforce
  • Configure cycles, maintain data integrity, and improve how everything flows
  • Look for ways to automate, simplify, and reduce manual work

Being a True Business Partner

  • Support HRBPs and leaders with clear, practical guidance on compensation decisions
  • Help navigate offers, promotions, and off-cycle adjustments
  • Turn complex compensation concepts into simple, actionable advice

Continuously Improving How We Work

  • Streamline processes, reduce friction, and improve how compensation gets delivered
  • Build better tools, better reporting, and better ways of working
  • Help shape a compensation function that scales with the business

Qualifications

Who We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of compensation experience (Canada + U.S.).
  • Experience working in complex, multi-entity environments.
  • Strong foundation in job evaluation, pay equity, and program design.
  • Proven ability to run annual compensation cycles.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills (you’re comfortable in the data).
  • Dayforce experience is a strong asset.
  • CCP, GRP, or similar designation is a bonus.

  • We are growing!
  • Certified as a Great Place to Work 2025-2026!
