The Community Impact Manager will report to the Senior Director, Community Impact and play a significant role in the Department’s core functions, including assisting in the implementation of the community impact strategic plan. This position manages the Community Impact Intern while building and maintaining relationships across stakeholders within public, private, and not-for-profit organizations impacted by and having influence on Augusta National Golf Club’s (ANGC) community efforts. The individual will monitor the performance of community-related investments. The Community Impact Manager collaborates across all internal departments creating and maintaining alignment with leaders in support of community initiatives. In addition, the Community Impact Manager leads all employee volunteer engagement throughout the year, including the annual Month of Service, while also driving content and context for these initiatives. This position will represent the organization at community events and embody the organization’s Mission and Core Values. This position requires full-time in-person employment in Augusta, Georgia. Like all positions at Augusta National, the individual must maintain the strict confidentiality of all Club business.

This position is a full-time, on-site role in Augusta, GA.

                                                     

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote and support the implementation of the Community Impact strategic plan, including the pursuit of transformational philanthropic prospects, strong stakeholder relationships, and positive brand perception/reputation opportunities.
  • Serve as a thought partner, and remain well informed of current research, activities, and trends as they relate to ANGC’s community impact interests.
  • Propose, create, implement, and maintain community investment projects particularly related to early education, K-12 education, post-secondary education/workforce development, and special education.
  • Demonstrate financial acumen by helping to evaluate grant and community investment proposals and developing funding recommendations,
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key external and internal stakeholders by being aware of stakeholder perspectives and objectives, while advancing ANGC’s interests.
  • Provide grants management oversight for all ANGC community investments
  • Manage and promote the leverage of public/private partnerships through collaboration of multiple funders and leaders.
  • Draft and review community investment write-ups for executive review.
  • Lead and promote programs for ANGC and its employees to play an active role in making Augusta a better place to live. (i.e., Employee Giving Program, Employee Matching Gifts, Volunteer Time Off and the Community Service Committee.)
  • Manage and develop all ANGC employee volunteer events and engagement throughout the year.
  • Lead the planning and execution of Masters Tournament related initiatives and events, including the annual Hometown Heroes and Youth Outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with ANGC’s Brand & Communications team to appropriately amplify the actions and investments of ANGC by providing drafts and supervising plans for content and context related to all of ANGC’s Community Impact initiatives.
  • Manage the employee Community Service Committee and all special projects developed through the Committee to ensure that ANGC’s objectives are pursued and accomplished.
  • Supervise and promote programs and opportunities to inspire a connection to the community with ANGC employees leveraging community assets like the Patch.
  • Play an active role in the department budgeting and management process and review and code invoices from external vendors in a timely manner.
  • Manage external vendors, including caterers, photographers, videographers, and building management, to execute events and activations throughout the year.
  • Prepare strategy memos, briefs, reports, and presentations in a variety of formats to engage a broad range of constituents (e.g., ANGC leadership, employees, community leaders, grantees, allied funders).
  • Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an important part of the job.

The employee is constantly required to use their vision to perform an activity such as but not limited to: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. The employee is constantly required to sit, sometimes for several hours at a time, and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Qualifications:

      Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, grants management software, and volunteer management software.
  • History of supervising staff or groups.
  • Ability to work productively and collaboratively as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail and results-oriented thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities, demonstrated through active listening, written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Instills trust and displays integrity, objectivity, authenticity, and sincerity in dealing with others.
  • Effective time and relationship management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and high workloads with high attention for detail.
  • Proven experience working with diverse populations, internal and external event management, and/or program planning and implementation.

Relative Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience; or Graduate Degree in relevant field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience establishing and managing complex internal and external relationships.
  • Experience or ability to facilitate meetings, synthesize ideas, and provide sensitive feedback.
  • Budget management experience.

Required License(s):

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully complete the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program.

Projected Work Schedule:

Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
