As Manager, Community Content at 1Password, you will be an integral part of the CX Community team. You’ll lead a team of content producers to create engaging, informative content, in various formats, that supports and informs our customer community. Your creativity and technical expertise will be key in developing content that not only educates but also inspires and motivates our customers.


Your ability to blend technical accuracy with engaging storytelling will help bridge the gap between complex technical information and the practical needs of our customers. You will collaborate closely with the Community, Customer Experience and Go-to-Market teams to ensure a seamless flow of information and continuous improvement in our content strategies.


You’ll be responsible for establishing and maintaining content standards and creating mechanisms for sourcing and publishing user-generated content


You’ll also leverage customer-facing content and the voice of the customer to help the Customer Experience team maintain a comprehensive internal knowledge base, ensuring all information is accessible, accurate, and up-to-date. 


This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the United States. We invite you to provide samples of your work along with your application, highlighting your experience in both creative content development and technical writing.

What we're looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in content production and/or technical writing in a marketing or customer experience environment including 1-2 years managing people.
  • Proven experience creating customer-facing content for a B2B SaaS audience. 
  • Demonstrated experience with creating and managing content in various formats (text, video, infographics) and across multiple platforms.
  • Strong skills in SEO, analytics, and proven experience with using data to guide content strategy and improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with customer journey mapping and creating content to enhance customer experience
  • Experience in developing and maintaining internal knowledge bases, FAQs, and instructional content or leading teams doing this work.

What you can expect:

  • To lead and contribute to the creation of guides, case studies and other content to help our customer community understand more about 1Password products and how they can be successful.
  • To establish and maintain workflows to harness user generated content from community members.
  • To collaborate with various teams to develop content that supports new initiatives, product launches, and other key business objectives.
  • To engage in creative problem solving, experimenting with new content formats and strategies, and sharing your insights with the team.
  • To continuously learn and adapt to new trends and technologies in content development and customer experience.
  • To lead the continued shaping and maintaining of our internal knowledge base, applying insights from customer facing content, to ensure all content is up-to-date, relevant, and easily accessible.

  • What you can expect in Month 1:
  • Immerse yourself in understanding our products, culture, and the specific needs of our customer community.
  • Start contributing to community content strategy and optimizing existing content.
  • Start building relationships with key stakeholders in different departments.
  • Begin identifying areas for content improvements and new initiatives.

  • What you can expect in Month 2:
  • Develop a clear plan for content updates and new content creation.
  • Work on more complex content projects, integrating technical accuracy with engaging narratives.
  • Deepen your cross-functional collaboration with team members across the organization.
  • Begin implementing your proposed content strategies and tracking their impact via our Khoros’ analytics tool as well as Google Analytics.

  • Establish yourself as a key content resource within the company, able to help cross-functional teams create, curate and source high-quality content that helps customers make the most of 1Password. 
  • Make a measurable improvement to the impact and effectiveness of our customer-facing content in the 1Password Community.
  • Continue to expand your network within the company, leveraging diverse perspectives to enrich our content.
  • Gain confidence in your role as a content leader, guiding your own team and cross-functional partners towards innovative and effective content solutions.
  • Contribute to our internal knowledge base and CX content strategies.

USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $109,000 USD and $147,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.


Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $105,000 CAD and $143,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
