Job Description
Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a Manager, Communications Planning to translate business, product, and brand strategy into integrated communications strategies for new product launches.

This role defines the communications challenge, audience, messaging architecture, consumer journey, channel roles, launch phasing, and measurement approach—ensuring cross-channel planning begins with clear priorities, positioning, claims, reasons to believe, and brand guardrails.

The Manager will serve as a central strategic partner across Product Marketing, Brand Strategy, Consumer Insights, CX, Creative, Media, PR, Social, CRM, eCommerce, Retail, Partnerships, and activation teams—creating one connected plan across consumer touchpoints.

What You Will Be Responsible For

1 | Comms Strategy & Architecture

  • Develop integrated communications strategies grounded in business objectives, product positioning, audience insights, brand priorities, and success metrics.
  • Define the communications challenge, audience journey, customer-relevant narrative, messaging hierarchy, channel roles, and moments that matter.
  • Translate product features, claims, and reasons to believe into clear messaging architectures and activation guidance.
  • Identify strategic gaps and trade-offs early, ensuring key upstream decisions are aligned before channel planning begins.

2 | Integrated Plan Design & Orchestration

  • Own the integrated activation architecture and maintain a single source of truth across functions, channels, markets, and consumer touchpoints.
  • Define launch phasing, channel sequencing, planning milestones, dependencies, and readiness requirements.
  • Align messaging, timing, and execution across Media, PR, Social, CRM, eCommerce, Retail, Partnerships, and other activation teams.
  • Partner with Media, Commercial, and activation teams to recommend investment priorities aligned to launch objectives and channel roles.
  • Protect the integrity of the communications strategy throughout execution, resolving integration or consumer-experience gaps as they arise.

3 | Cross-Functional Leadership & Alignment

  • Connect upstream product, brand, audience, and commercial strategy to downstream channel and market execution.
  • Clarify roles, decision rights, deliverables, and escalation paths across the communications planning process.
  • Lead planning forums, alignment checkpoints, readiness reviews, and cross-functional decision meetings.
  • Convene stakeholders to resolve trade-offs, reduce fragmentation, and maintain strategic alignment across launch initiatives.

4 | Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define measurement frameworks and learning agendas tied to communications objectives, business outcomes, consumer journey stages, and channel roles.
  • Partner with Analytics and Insights teams to evaluate performance across channels, audiences, markets, and touchpoints.
  • Lead post-launch reviews and recommend improvements to messaging, channel mix, sequencing, investment, and launch phasing.
  • Institutionalize learnings, planning standards, and best practices to improve future communications planning.
What We Value
  • 6+ years of experience in integrated marketing, communications planning, brand strategy, or a related field.
  • Experience translating business, product, brand, audience, and commercial priorities into integrated communications strategies.
  • Strong ability to define communications challenges, audience journeys, messaging architectures, channel roles, and launch plans.
  • Experience developing customer-relevant narratives from product features, claims, and reasons to believe.
  • Strong understanding of launch phasing, cross-channel orchestration, readiness planning, investment prioritization, and measurement.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong strategic thinking, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to balance rigor with executional practicality.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with evolving priorities and multiple activation partners.
