Job Description

The Manager, Commercial Enablement at LGC provides an exceptional chance to develop and build our commercial operations. In this crucial leadership role, you will manage sales efficiency, process rigor, and the implementation and enhancement of commercial systems in the USA. As a "player-coach," you will lead a dedicated team passionate about sales training, contract management, and commercial systems support.

Collaboration is key in this role, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure operational readiness and data visibility. Your efforts will drive scalable revenue growth and maintain flawless systems alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Enablement & Training

  • Develop and manage onboarding and ongoing sales training programs.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to align training, sales tools, and content with strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate the creation and distribution of playbooks, battlecards, and selling tools to ensure sales teams are exceptionally prepared.

Commercial Contract Management

  • Track and maintain sales/commercial contracts across different geographies and customer segments.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Sales, and Sales Leadership to ensure compliance and renewal timelines.
  • Monitor execution timelines, review client performance, and identify risks and opportunities in key agreements.

CRM & Commercial Systems

  • Lead administration and provide user support for CRM systems like Salesforce and HubSpot.
  • Assist in the implementation, user uptake, and enhancement of commission tracking systems and quoting tools.
  • Act as the business lead for the integration between systems, ensuring seamless data flow.

Commissions & Incentive Tracking

  • Support tools used by the commercial operations team to process and track commissions.
  • Supervise territory data operations to secure the smooth rollout of commission tracking systems.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and develop a team of specialists in enablement, systems, and operations.
  • Establish clear priorities, benchmarks, and performance expectations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 6–10+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales enablement, or sales systems management.
  • Proven experience managing CRM platforms and sales enablement tools.
  • Strong understanding of B2B and B2C commercial processes.
  • Demonstrated success in player-coach roles with small teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience in life science commercial operations or direct sales within a global sales organization.
  • Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools like Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Understanding commercial policy enforcement and contract compliance guidelines.
  • Change management and user adoption experience in enterprise system rollouts.
