The individual in this position assists the DCQI in the operations of the hospital's Quality / Performance improvement program. Supports quality and process improvement efforts identified in the hospital. Responsible for data tracking/collection and trending. Coordinates, assists, and advice on a variety of meetings, seminars, services, and/or programs related to the overall Quality / Performance Improvement program. Coordinates hospital-wide performance improvement activities under the direction of the DCQI.
Responsibilities- Coordinating integration and management of the Quality / Performance Improvement Program with the guidance of the DCQI to meet regulatory requirements including Joint Commission and state statutes, to identify performance improvement opportunities to enhance the organization's outcomes.
- Carries out assignments as delegated by the DCQI, and coordinates reports, correspondence, and information as needed.
- Collaborates with the department directors to compile and generate reports for analysis and interpretation for the Quality / Performance Improvement department / Committee
- Performs related duties as required
- Required:
- Education: Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with a bachelor’s degree or higher in a patient care-related field
- Experience: 3 years of experience in QA/PI
- Licensure/Certification: Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in the state of practice, or policy.
- Preferred:
- Licensure/Certification: CPHQ or other certification in Healthcare Quality
