Manager, Client Engagement – Patient Recruitment & Retention (PRR)
As a Manager, Client Engagement, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with our clients and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
This role sits within ICON’s Patient Recruitment & Retention (PRR) division, where we deliver patient‑centred solutions designed to optimise clinical trial recruitment, engagement, and retention across the full patient journey.
You will oversee and support client services workstreams, ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations while supporting the successful development of patient‑centric recruitment and retention strategies.
What You Will Be Doing:
Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient recruitment and retention, leveraging multiple service line capabilities to address protocol‑specific challenges
Act as a key client partner, delivering customised recruitment and retention approaches aligned to patient insights and study requirements
Collaborate with internal teams, including PRR specialists and operational functions, to ensure aligned and effective service delivery
Support the development and execution of multi‑channel recruitment and engagement solutions, including site‑specific strategies, digital outreach, and patient‑centred services
Monitor client feedback and performance metrics, including enrolment and engagement data, to identify opportunities for optimisation
Manage key markets as the primary point of contact, ensuring timely recommendations to support patient enrolment and retention
Drive continuous improvement across client service delivery, supporting innovative approaches that enhance patient experience and recruitment outcomes
Support budget development, contribute to Bid Defence meetings, and help retain patient recruitment and retention scope
You will have/be:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field
Proven experience in client/ account management within the clinical research industry, managing multiple studies or client accounts
Direct experience supporting and analysing patient recruitment, retention, and/or site engagement strategies within clinical trials, with the ability to interpret enrolment and engagement metrics to optimise performance
Experience working cross functionally with Business Development, Clinical, and Operations teams to deliver study outcomes
Experience contributing to budget development, bid defence activities, and scope management
Willingness to travel as required (approximately 25%)
