Compensation for this role is $70-$75k The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

As the Manager, Claims, you’ll perform a variety of service functions and responsibilities in support of corporate insurance claims, legal claims, and large value claims. You’ll work with Operations, IT, Legal, Corporate insurance and other departments or business units to fulfill scope of work commitments related to claims.  

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Responsible for day-to-day claim activity of third-party claims submitted by claimants, customer markets, operations, legal, etc., for ultimate settlement and disposition
  • Communicate with customers, contractors, employees, business partners, and insurance representatives to obtain information and answer questions concerning claims and incidents
  • Maintain and update claim files and database system utilizing the Last Mile CLM Claim System to compile and file insurance records
  • Monitor independent contract carriers and report on compliance issues pertaining to indemnification, required insurance, additional insured status, insurance coverage exclusions/omissions
  • Report compliance issues and breaches to compliance team, local leadership, and management to alert of potential exposure to RXO and potential financial implications

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 Years of experience in insurance claims and/or legal claims handling
  • Basic knowledge of insurance policy language

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Advanced-level user of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs
  • Advanced Data Analysis using Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software
  • Thorough knowledge of internal company software applications applicable to position/business unit
