Manager, Chargeback Operations
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Manager, Chargeback Operations reports into the Associate Director, Chargeback Operations, PACM team within the US Market Access organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate looking to grow their skills within a dynamic organization focusing on Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) membership, chargeback processing and contract interpretation. This individual will be responsible for reviewing and processing membership lists to maintain accurate contract eligibility. Additionally, this candidate will process daily chargebacks to ensure timely and accurate credits to wholesalers, pay quarterly administrative fees to our partnered GPOs and settle outstanding credit and rebills between Wholesalers, Specialty Distributors and Accounts Receivable.
This position will work cross-functionally with several different groups, especially with Trade & Distribution, Accounting, DTE, Government Pricing & Programs, Contract Operations, Field Sales, Trade Accounts and Legal. Additionally, this role will require external collaboration with 3PLs, Wholesalers/Distributors and GPOs.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Lead for chargeback adjudication, including definition and tracking of key operational metrics

Monthly audit of customer (member) level data from the GPOs to ensure compliance with our program

Adjudicate and process customer chargeback submissions including manual submissions and resubmissions for payment. This entails identifying and resolving all customer, product and vendor fields not covered or found

Work directly with customers to resolve chargeback disputes in accordance with Vertex’s contractual obligations

Maintain and manage GPO membership rosters for eligibility

Reconcile chargeback deductions – facilitate collection of denial and work with collections team

Reporting, ad hoc and monthly on performance of membership and chargeback processes

Manage and respond to requests for GPO audit of membership and chargebacks

Audit of chargeback membership data for inconsistencies related to rejections and or other membership eligibility issues

Review chargeback membership for proactive corrections to avoid future errors and rejections

Create and maintain thorough and organized documentation in preparation for internal/external audit activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor's Degree highly desired in a quantitative discipline

5 + years of experience in pharmaceutical industry in chargebacks

2 + years of ModelN Flex experience processing chargebacks and setting up Contracts

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel – Pivot tables a plus

Resolving disputes in a timely and accurate manner

Effective communication skills with internal stakeholders and customers

Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

Demonstrated ability to work accurately in a fast-paced complex, customer-focused environment executing to specific deadlines

Proven track record in identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies

Must have excellent customer relations and customer service skills

Must be a self-starter, relentlessly drive to improve the status quo and be solution-focused

Timely follow-up on open items and ensure follow-through is conducted with the appropriate sense of urgency
Pay Range:
$129,440 - $194,160
Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
