The Manager, Case Management (ER Specialist) will deliver expert advice and hands on coaching across a broad range of people management issues. You’ll provide consistent, high quality support to line managers across misconduct investigations, performance management, disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, fitness for work matters and internal appeals. This includes leading investigations into serious and sensitive matters, such as sexual harassment, and acting as an escalation point for complex cases.
You will also play a key role in building capability across the People Services function for less complex and informal cases. Reporting to a Portfolio Manager, Case Management, you’ll partner closely with business leaders and stakeholders to deliver balanced, fair and appropriate outcomes. You’ll succeed in this role if you bring a structured, organised and analytical approach, and can thrive in a fast paced, high volume environment.
You’ll have:
- Tertiary qualification in Employment Law, Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience advising on individual people matters, including complex misconduct investigations and grievances.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining robust documentation and audit trails.
- A proactive and pragmatic approach, with the ability to deliver solutions that support business needs and Group outcomes.
- Strong end to end case management experience and the ability to provide timely, consistent and high quality advice.
- Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring others.
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and negotiate at all levels.
- High level conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills, applied effectively to complex people matters.
- Experience using reporting and data insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage highly sensitive information.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance case delivery, coaching responsibilities and competing priorities.
