About the Role
Our Business Services division partners with clients to drive success by delivering high-quality advisory and compliance solutions. We work closely with large, privately owned businesses in the Australian retail sector, many of which hold significant property portfolios.
In this role, you will manage key client relationships, lead a team, and oversee the delivery of professional accounting and tax services to complex, high-value clients.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Manager to join a fast-growing team generating over $3 million in recurring fees. This is a leadership role offering exposure to interesting clients, meaningful advisory work, and strong career progression.
You will play a key role in managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and working closely with a Partner to deliver outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage business services, accounting, and tax engagements.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
Oversee the preparation of financial statements in line with regulatory and reporting standards
Deliver tax planning strategies and provide advice on business and regulatory matters
Review and manage income tax and FBT returns, identifying risks and non-compliance issues
Collaborate with audit teams during the July–November busy season to ensure seamless service delivery
Coach, mentor, and develop a team of 7 direct reports
Contribute to a range of advisory and consulting projects.
About You
You are an experienced professional with strong technical expertise and leadership capability. You are confident managing large, complex clients and enjoy working in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Your experience includes:
6–8 years of Australian Business Services experience within a Chartered Accounting environment (experience in a mid-tier or Big 4 firm would be advantageous)
Strong knowledge of Australian tax, including trusts, companies, and individuals, with exposure to GST, payroll tax, superannuation, and stamp duty
Experience working with larger clients, including CFOs and internal finance teams
Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and lead teams effectively
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
CA qualification is essential.
