Job Summary

As a Manager within the Pharmacy Services Finance Intelligence (FI) organization, you will serve as the strategic owner of highly complex business initiatives from intake through implementation. This role is responsible for leading the organization's most critical and ambiguous projects, partnering closely with senior business leaders, solution architects, engineering teams, and analytics resources to define solutions that drive measurable business value.

Managers are expected to demonstrate exceptional business knowledge, delivery leadership, and consultative problem-solving. They are entrusted with initiatives that span multiple business functions, require deep operational understanding, involve significant organizational risk, or influence strategic priorities.

While this role performs the same core responsibilities as a Senior Analyst, expectations increase in project complexity, business ownership, and independent decision-making. Managers serve as trusted advisors to stakeholders, champion delivery excellence, and help elevate the capabilities of the broader Project Delivery Management organization through mentoring, coaching, and continuous improvement.

Job ResponsibilitiesRequirements Gathering & Business Analysis
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes, upstream and downstream dependencies through the Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) using the team's standardized framework.

  • Facilitate executive-level workshops to define business strategy, priorities, and solution direction.

  • Identify root causes, operational risks, and long-term improvement opportunities rather than addressing symptoms.

  • Serve as the primary business owner responsible for solution definition and delivery readiness.

Program & Project Delivery Leadership
  • Lead large, cross-functional projects and multi-phase initiatives with significant organizational complexity.

  • Drive delivery from intake through implementation while proactively managing scope, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Facilitate complex decision-making discussions involving multiple business units.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for assigned initiatives before leadership involvement becomes necessary.

  • Provide executive-ready project updates focused on risks, impacts, decisions, and business outcomes.

Stakeholder Partnership & Consulting
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with directors, senior managers, business owners, and technical leadership.

  • Maintain deep understanding of assigned business domains and proactively identify opportunities for process optimization.

  • Promote transparency, accountability, and predictable delivery across all assigned initiatives.

Team Development
  • Support onboarding of new team members through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

  • Conduct peer reviews of Business Requirements Documents and project deliverables.

  • Share business knowledge, facilitation techniques, and consultative delivery practices across the team.

  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • Serve as a role model for consultative partnership and delivery excellence.

Success Measures

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Successful delivery of the organization's most complex and strategic initiatives.

  • Demonstrated expertise across multiple business domains and operational processes.

  • Consistently producing development-ready requirements requiring minimal revision.

  • Ability to independently manage executive stakeholders and complex business discussions.

  • Proactive identification of business risks, process improvements, and strategic opportunities.

  • Improvement of overall delivery predictability and project outcomes across the portfolio.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Delivery, Product Management, Program Management, Process Improvement, or related disciplines.

  • Experience leading highly complex, cross-functional business and technology initiatives.

  • Proven ability to independently facilitate executive-level meetings and influence business decisions.

  • Advanced experience documenting business requirements, functional specifications, business rules, and process flows.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with competing priorities.

  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or comparable project management platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Healthcare, Finance, Revenue Cycle, or Insurance organizations.

  • Experience partnering with Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Software Development teams.

  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or business intelligence concepts.

  • Experience leading enterprise transformation or operational improvement initiatives.

  • Experience mentoring analysts or leading project delivery communities of practice.

  • Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, CSM, or comparable professional certifications.
