As the Brand Communications Manager – EMEA, you will oversee all EMEA brand communications activities related to Retail Marketing, Trade Marketing and Experiences leveraging the Paid media, PR and Owned media tactics. You will leverage all relevant brand assets through our media channels and strengthen brand’s top-of-mind in existing markets and actively penetrate emerging markets by positioning Arc’teryx narratives in full alignment with the global brand marketing strategy. You are a skilled communications expert, and your ability to think outside the box will help grow the EMEA market share by increasing brand consideration and improving both internal and external communications.


This role is based in Garching (Munich area) and on hybrid mode (3 days in the office / 2 days at home). Candidates must be eligible to work in Germany.

The EMEA Brand Communications team works in lockstep together, as well as cross-functionally, to bring the outside in, and the inside out. We focus on telling the right story to the right audience at the right time and are constantly adapting the team’s way of working to support each other and meet our objectives. If you were the Brand Communications Manager – EMEA now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Ideating and developing communications strategies and planning to support Retail Marketing initiatives for existing Brand Stores with Drive-to-store paid media campaigns, for New Store Opening launches with bespoke Paid Media buys and Earned Media plans such as media events, partnerships, brand stakeholders’ interviews, and syncing regional owned media channels accordingly.
  • Promoting Trade Marketing initiatives at wholesale accounts with paid, earned, owned media tactics when required.
  • Building and delivering 360° promotion plans across all media channels for events in EMEA, including non-exhaustively Arc’teryx Academies, film tours, tier-1 community events and sponsored events.
  • Implementing crisis management protocols that may occurs at EMEA events / guests’ experiences, with guidance from global communications teams in HQ.
  • Developing paid media initiatives and tactical planning for the brand’s Mountain Town strategy.
  • Supporting the global localization team for campaigns & initiatives assets translations and production in scope.
  • Delivering initiatives and campaign reports to regional and global communications leadership.
  • Managing the EMEA paid media digital agency hired to deliver the above campaigns, managing related budgets.
  • Managing all assigned PR agencies for the executions of above earned media campaigns, managing related budgets.

  • Participating to the expansion of PR services to new markets and foster market readiness.
  • Teaming up with Brand Comms leadership and Social Marketing specialist for the expansion of the brand’s regional social footprint and build-up the related social marketing strategy.
  • Integrating guests’ profile and data insights to PESO media strategies in scope.

Are you our next Manager, Brand Communications - EMEA?

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field combined with 5+ years in a communications or media role with experience in a fast paced, results-driven working environment.
  • You have superior verbal and written communication skills coupled with other European languages (preferably German or French).
  • You understand the diversity and cultural complexity of European markets, you are switched on the latest media trends and consumer behaviors.
  • You have worked in industries in contact with youth lifestyle / millennials audiences.
  • You have a proven track record in communications management, public relations planning and in executing detailed public relations strategies.
  • You have a keen eye for emerging communications and digital social trends, a passion for the outdoors and an enthusiastic approach to evolving and improving existing brand awareness strategies.
  • You set a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives.
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration.
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.
