Job DescriptionThe Manager – Global SMB B2B Partnerships will be at the forefront of building an enablement function to empower and grow our SMB B2B partnerships globally. This role involves driving the growth of the global SMB B2B partnerships function and supporting the creation of a Visa Commercial Solution (VCS) - wide partner strategy in a high-growth area for Visa.
The position requires an experienced professional with a broad, well-rounded set of skills, particularly with a commercial mindset, ability to drive value and results, negotiation skills, payments knowledge, and ability to execute operational functions. The target candidate will have a high level of energy, flexibility, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex and often ambiguous environment as part of a newly established team.
Responsibilities:
- Drive growth for Visa by accelerating SMB B2B partnership opportunities.
- Identify incremental revenue and use‑case expansion opportunities within the existing partner portfolio, partnering with regional sales and SMB teams to activate demand
- Screen the market for potential B2B players that can be categorized, prioritized and targeted from a business development perspective
- Think creatively and use analytical techniques to identify client and partner fit to drive pipeline build
- Work closely with business development teams and AEs to develop GTM plans, pitch partners
- Source new partners in the market either via inbound inquiries or generate new leads from industry events, desk-top research, etc.
- Execute activities to ensure partners are successfully onboarded, contracts negotiated, and implement processes to build and track pipeline
- Engage with stakeholders in product, sales, GTM, operations, enablement, strategy and more, to ways to accelerate commercialization and achieving objectives
- Work closely with the product teams to evolve the value proposition, products and platforms to meet client / market needs at a global level
- Build new relationships with strategic players with the ultimate objective of agreeing areas of mutual beneficial value between Visa and potential partners
- Act as the liaison for partners; proactively identifying and solving partner issues and challenges
- As required manage ongoing global partnership relationships
This is a hybrid position. This requires 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) attendance in the London office.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Commercial growth mindset, and experience in a client facing, revenue generating environment
- Business development mindset to spot new opportunities and generate leads with partners and clients
- Strong operational skills to handle partner onboarding, negotiation, risk management, and other required activities for partner sourcing, onboarding and management
