- Management and Communication:
Organizes or participate in meetings whenever necessary internally or externally with other departments with the aim of correcting process problems, improving work processes and working communication between the shop floor and other administration dept - Keeps all operations staff and other department informed of the workload situation and operational achievement concerning SPT and/or any other KPIs
- Manages all staff under his/her responsibility in accordance with People 1st policy and constantly motivating them to achieve SMART objectives.
- Manages and plans the day-to-day operations and keeping costs under control.
- Responsible for the daily decision-making and provides necessary guidance to the technical specialist and team leads.
- Develop/ coach effective team leaders and team organizations to handle the wide variety of products involved in the repair operations
- Manage the team in their personal development and performance review
- Liaises with the RSM and CSM concerning any new business contracts and the ability to fulfill all the contractual requirements relating to repairs &/or retrofits.
- Ensure compliance and Safety with industrial regulations and audit.
- Ability to work outside of normal hours in coordination and meetings with the worldwide network
- Repair Operations:
Responsible for the achievement of the repair KPI for respective aircraft programs per contractual obligations - Monitors the weekly repair and retrofit flow trend to ensure that resources are sufficient and to detect max capacity events
- Manage the WIP level and the OTD/SPT achievement.
- Work closely with Customer Care Center to manage daily priority.
- Work on S&OP, reviews and reporting, plan and lead maintenance strategies and budget.
- Update the monthly KPI report and escalate any potential work stoppages/blockages, challenges requiring arbitration, resource and priority.
- Help the team remove daily impediments
- Maintain constant update on product evolution and the technical competency in guiding the technical specialist in their daily repair activities.
- Support the implementation of continual improvement of work processes, work areas, tooling, consumables, equipment and manpower to improve efficiency, cost and productivity.
- Manages and assists in solving difficult customer issues relating to repair and/or retrofit activities.
- Continuously seek improvements in repair/retrofit operations, achieving the competitiveness roadmap / four pillars: LEAD, GROW, DELIVER and PROTECT
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Aeronautical Engineering, Operations Management
- 8 - 10 years’ experience in Aerospace MRO operations with supervisory role preferred.
- Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and leadership skills.
- Highly motivated and proven ability to manage/motivate teams to deliver business results.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure effective coordination between departments within the organization.
- Lean, KAIZEN or continuous improvement knowledge
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel, PowerBI
