Lead a team of software developers delivering solutions focussed on migrating legacy relational database-based Java applications to a modern cloud-based architecture running on MongoDB, leveraging the latest genAI tools and approaches to accelerate this process.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Gurugram or Bengaluru for our hybrid working model.
Position Expectations- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software developers to achieve their full potential.
- Have a deep understanding of the existing skill set / skill level of each individual developer in the team. Capable of setting up individual, sustainable development plans based on the skills assessment.
- Proactively maintain a robust recruiting pipeline, attracting the highest quality talent in the industry to support excellence and rapid growth.
- Promote and demonstrate a culture of trust, collaboration, innovation, and excellence
- Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of application development support for various projects.
- Implement and maintain best practices for software development, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet the needs of multiple project teams.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay at the forefront of the industry by staying abreast of the latest genAI advancements and leveraging cutting-edge developments to fulfill migration projects.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a managerial or leadership role
- Strong proficiency in Java
- Some experience and knowledge of Python or JavaScrip/Node.js
- Strong experience in building applications that interact with relational databases using SQL
- Some experience with Enterprise Java (J2EE / JavaEE / Spring) application architectures
- History of building teams that deliver high-cadence modern applications with applied Agile methodologies, test-first development approaches, adopting CI/CD pipelines and using Git version control
- Comfortable with limited travel
- Experience developing MongoDB-based enterprise applications
- Experience using generative AI tooling to accelerate and optimize application development
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
