Job Title: Manager - Application Engineering - WSS

Responsibilities:

1. Process design of municipal / industrial wastewater and process water treatment systems for medium to large scale plant facilities.

2. Process design and cost estimation / proposal engineering of the following:

a) Water / Wastewater / Effluent treatment systems, Ultrapure water treatment systems for industry sectors like healthcare, pharma, food & beverage, power, microelectronics, textile, paper & pulp, chemical processing and municipal sectors.

b) Skid-mounted, Process water / Ultrapure water treatment systems comprising of UF, RO, CEDI, CIP, UV, Softeners, MMF, Carbon filters etc.,

c) Municipal / Sewage treatment systems using different technologies like ASP (screening, grit removal, primary sedimentation, aeration, secondary clarifier, disinfection), SBR, MBBR and MBR.

d) Effluent treatment systems comprising of primary treatment (screening, grit removal, oil separation, equalization tank, DAF, primary sedimentation) secondary treatment (ASP, SBR, MBBR, MBR), Tertiary treatment (MMF, ACF, AOP, RO, UF).

e) Liquid phase and vapor phase odor control systems comprising chemical oxidizers, bio-trickling filters, chemical scrubbers and Carbon adsorbers

3. To lead a team of process engineers, guide them technically, ensure utilization/productivity, keep track of proposals/projects to submit as per target date.

4. Prepare techno-commercial proposal consisting of P&ID’s, PFD’s, unit sizing calculations, hydraulic calculations, pump sizing, head loss calculations, electrical load list, equipment list, control philosophy, mass / water balance, design basis and costing sheet.

5. Coordinate with Technical sales engineers, product managers of USA to discuss on incoming proposal, make sure submission of techno-commercial proposal within the targeted schedule.

6. Interact with India Business Development team on local opportunities, attending technical discussions with customers and related site visits.

7. For the application / process engineering team, responsible for the quality & on-time delivery of proposals, maintenance of high-impact culture, fixing of KPI’s, training and recruitment.

8. Interact / communicate with USA counterparts regularly (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on performance updates, feedback and improvement.

9. Occasional national and international travels.

Required qualifications, skills and competencies:

1. Bachelor’s degree in chemical from a reputed institute. Master’s in chemical engineering / Environmental engineering will be an added advantage.

2. Minimum of 17 to 20 years of experience in the indicated domain and expertise.

3. Experience in handling a team of around 15 Engineers, in providing technical guidance, goal setting, performance management, mentoring and training. Technically guide the team on proposal engineering involving cost estimation, P&ID and PFD preparation, process design calculations, equipment sizing, hydraulic calculation, pump sizing, head loss calculations, instrument selection, control philosophy, electrical load list, equipment list etc.,

4. Experience in design of preliminary treatment, primary treatment, secondary / biological treatment (including BNR), tertiary treatment, disinfection systems, sludge treatment, liquid-solids gravity separation systems, filtration systems, hydraulic / gravity flow calculations, Odor control systems etc.,

5. Exposure to commissioning activities of indicated systems may be an added advantage but not a must.

6. Exposure to Engineering Software like AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks will be an added advantage.

7. Proficiency in handling MS Office package for preparing necessary documents, excel files and ppt’s for administrative and reporting purposes.

8. Experience in working with international / global teams towards proposal engineering in the indicated domain.
