Responsibilities:
- Propose and implement MIS frameworks to provide senior management with monthly performance analytics and strategic insights.
- Utilize data to identify operational bottlenecks and develop analytical solutions to ensure the team meets internal KPIs and regulatory timelines.
- Lead departmental projects aimed at automation and digital transformation, specifically implementing RPA for manual processes.
- Drive the transition of manual restriction processes for KYC non-compliance into seamless, automated AMLCT workflows.
- Maintain a robust Quality Assurance (QA) framework to ensure all AML assessments and reviews maintain 100% adherence to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) standards.
- Oversee the AML Caller Team to ensure high-quality customer engagement during KYC refresh cycles and outreach.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across MIS, QA, and specialized operational units to achieve high performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with peer managers to track staff productivity and provide data-driven recommendations for resource allocation and headcount sustainability.
- Coordinate and monitor compliance and operational risk assessments within the unit to mitigate potential gaps.
- Support departmental goals by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and digital adoption.
- Ensure all MIS reporting, QA processes, and KYC workflows align with BNM regulations and internal bank policies.
Jobholder Requirements
- Malaysian citizen.
Education/Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
Experience/Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, specifically within MIS, Analytics, or AML/KYC Operations.
- Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and leading automation/RPA projects.
- Proficiency in performance tracking and advanced data analysis; familiarity with RPA tools and SQL/Data visualization tools is an advantage.
- Deep understanding of BNM AML/CFT guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex data into operational strategy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholder expectations at different levels of the organization.
