Job Overview
This role is responsible for leading and executing regional security strategy across the Americas in support of DePuy Synthes’ Global Real Estate, Facilities Management, and Corporate Operations portfolio. The position plays a critical role in protecting people, assets, facilities, and operations while enabling business continuity, resilience, and growth. The role partners closely with regional and global stakeholders and has a direct impact on employee safety, site readiness, and risk mitigation across a diverse footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement the Americas regional security strategy aligned with global security standards and business objectives.
Oversee physical security operations for corporate offices, manufacturing sites, R&D facilities, and distribution locations across the region.
Partner with Global RE & FM teams to integrate security requirements into site design, renovations, and lease activities.
Manage regional security vendors and service providers, including contract governance, performance metrics, and cost controls.
Lead incident management, investigations, and crisis response activities, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
Conduct risk assessments, threat analyses, and vulnerability reviews; recommend and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable security standards across the Americas.
Collaborate with Business Continuity, EHS, Legal, HR, and IT partners to support enterprise resilience initiatives.
Provide leadership, guidance, and development for regional security team members and matrixed partners.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, or related field)
Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Experience and Skills
Required:
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in corporate security, facilities security, or risk management within a large, complex organization.
Experience leading regional or multi‑site security operations across the Americas.
Strong knowledge of physical security systems, guard force operations, investigations, and incident response.
Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, contracts, and budgets.
Proven stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Ability to assess risk, make sound decisions under pressure, and lead through complex situations.
Preferred:
Experience in life sciences, medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with global security standards and enterprise risk management frameworks.
