The Role

Snap’s operation in ANZ serves this highly engaged community through strategic relationships with content publishers, tech and telco companies, cultural and community organisation, alongside a growing and vibrant creator ecosystem.

On the advertising side, the ANZ team delivers industry-leading creative campaigns for the world’s biggest global brands and ANZ’s fastest-growing businesses. We aspire to play an active and positive role within ANZ society, both as a contributor to the local economy and in the lives of the Snapchat community. 

​​Reporting directly to the General Manager of ANZ, we’re looking for a Manager, Agency Development to join Snap! You will build and manage relationships with Agencies across Australia to help them expand their digital presence on Snapchat. Working from our Sydney office, you’ll collaborate with Sales, Business Marketing, Product and Measurement to grow revenue from these agencies.

What you’ll do: 

  • Hold responsibility and be accountable for the financial performance of your Agencies in Australia; work to ensure these agencies meet targets.

  • Firmly establish Snapchat as a leading brand building and business driving platform in the eyes of multiple Agency constituents.

  • Act as the primary point of contact, escalation point and thought leader for your Agencies in Australia.

  • Create a strategic plan to develop and deliver education & inspiration focused meetings that have an impact on multiple roles (media, digital, strategic planning) in the Agency.

  • Develop status as a trusted peer by C-suite leadership at the respective agencies and brands in Australia.

  • Conduct periodic business reviews with Sales leadership and important constituencies.

  • Understand Agency’s businesses and develop appropriate solutions to meet their needs.

  • Track revenue performance across the Agency portfolio within Australia and determine corrective measures where needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally.

  • Understanding of Snapchat value proposition, and the ability to describe technical or complicated ideas into plain language.

  • Experience in working for matrix organizations & ability to win the support of key internal cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

  • Proven knowledge and ability to build strong relationships at the C-level across the business both internally and externally within the Australian market. 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.     

Minimum qualifications: 

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.

  • 15+ years of marketing, brand advertising, agency, media sales and/or online advertising experience leading businesses or accounts.

  • Direct agency management experience within the Australian market

  • Experience working with account contacts and growing revenue through the development of relationships within the Australian market.

  • Some interstate travel may be required

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Experience in sales and marketing in a sales/commission-based role to advertising agencies within the Australian market

  • Ability to influence C-suite executives by helping them understand Snap’s value proposition, and the ability to describe technical or complicated ideas into plain language

  • Experience working in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment

  • Experience in managing a small team
