Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

Duties: Build complex analytics using cloud technologies, build accurate forecasts, design operating models for supply chain network planning, and automate processes and reports using business intelligence tools. Work with data to solve complex problems. Build strong relationships with the Technology, Merchandising, and Supply Chain Operations teams. Develop accurate forecasts using Knime and advanced Microsoft Excel features and make recommendations to management regarding cost savings and/or profitability improvement strategies while maintaining top customer service. Analyze large quantities of data such as inventory, transportation, and fulfillment data to help the Supply Chain team and other parts of the organization make decisions that drive value. Address complex network topology problems by working with large, messy, disparate datasets and conduct analyses by connecting to production databases to identify opportunities in the store and fulfillment center networks. Develop robust statistical metrics to monitor and quantify the impact of changes. Design and build scalable data pipelines across data warehouses using SQL to efficiently maintain years of historical data and allow analysts to easily access the data for analyses and modeling. Create data tables using Structured Query Language (SQL) in Teradata or Google Cloud Server. Generate insights for supply chain optimization utilizing big data and create business critical dashboards in Tableau. Automate and optimize queries in data transfer techniques in Google Cloud Platform. Develop solutions to improve existing business processes within the supply chain. Utilize methods such as statistical analysis, time series methods, regression modeling, and optimization using Knime, Python, or Hive. Create scenario models using Knime or Google BigQuery to analyze Supply Chain network needs to support future sales growth with scenario modeling capabilities to understand the sensitivity to multiple variables. Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate multiple networks designs and the impact to customer experiences and the cost to serve. Identify functional analytics and research objectives and develops tactical research plans. Provide guidance to leadership and advise on next steps based on insights objectives and research. Present actionable recommendations to inform strategic and tactical functional initiatives. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience integrating production databases and performing data analysis coding using SQL and Microsoft Excel. Experience executing optimization and risk modelling using Knime Analytics Platform or Python. Experience designing and automating dashboards of business metrics and data visualizations using Tableau's data ecosystem. Experience executing statistical programming and analysis in R. Experience managing third party vendors using data platforms (SAP and e2open) to deliver Supply Chain Excellence. Experience generating, reviewing, and presenting reports to stakeholders using Tableau’s architecture and production ecosystems to report on the health of a supply chain network. Experience performing data mining using the following mathematical and machine learning techniques in programming language R: Linear Programming. Experience Programming, Regression Analysis, Simulation Modelling, One-Hot Encoding, Multivariate Analysis, and Time Series Forecasting. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $107,950/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
