Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and develop a team of direct reports and serve as a leader on the regional general ledger team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A/Field Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Month-End Close & Reporting
- Lead the timely completion of close activities within assigned areas
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analyses
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline close and reporting, including automation opportunities
- Support integration of acquisitions into Lineage accounting processes
Fixed Asset Accounting
- Oversee the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, transfers, disposals, and depreciation
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of the fixed asset subledger and related general ledger accounts, including review of additions, retirements, and impairments
- Partner with operations, finance, and project teams to validate capital expenditures and proper accounting treatment
Prepaid Expenses & Accruals
- Manage accounting for prepaid expenses, ensuring proper recognition and amortization in accordance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Establish and reinforce processes to improve accuracy and efficiency in prepaid tracking
Transportation Business Unit Support
- Serve as the primary accounting liaison for the Transportation business; collaborate with the Transportation finance team to identify and implement process improvements
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for Transportation business
Compliance & Controls
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to SOX requirements
- Review and monitor account reconciliations for areas of responsibility
- Support internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, controls, and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to general ledger and fixed assets accounting preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and other accounting/finance tools including BlackLine
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting asset-intensive environments preferred

Skills Required
