Job Description
The Manager, Accounting will assist with the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. The duties of this position will require the ability to handle heavy volume of transactions and activity of 38,000+ single family rental homes.
- Support accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, including management of the monthly close calendar
- Assist with the annual audit process, including responding to audit inquiries, preparation or review of requested schedules, testing of internal controls, and preparation of financial statements
- Direct and review balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
- Develop or assist with process improvements
- Development and maintenance of proper internal controls
- Prepare analytical financial reports to assist with month-end budget and variance analysis
- Lead and develop a team of staff accountants
- Ensure appropriate accruals are recorded monthly
- Assist in reviewing/approving/posting journal entries
- Overseeing general ledger analysis
- Reconciliation of intercompany transactions
- Activate/Deactivate sold properties for AP and journal entries
- Work with executive/senior management on special projects
- Perform back-up duties as necessary
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
- 8+ years related experience, preferably in a property management/real estate/construction setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- Knowledge of Yardi would be a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; proficient in other Microsoft Office programs

Salary Range
Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.
$105,330.00 - $175,550.00
