Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join our account team covering one of Germany's leading financial institutions and its cobrand partner.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional who is passionate about business development and becoming an important partner in the relationship with our clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle of key projects focusing on commercial cards and cobrand cards.
You will be delivering solutions that drive Mastercard's business growth and customer satisfaction as well as managing the relevant day-to-day operations.
As part of a cross-functional team, you will work closely with various stakeholders to align client needs with business objectives, foster long-term partnerships, and contribute to the bank's continued success in a dynamic market environment.
Role:• Engages clients as a strategic partner to build a deep understanding of customer needs and ensures customer satisfaction• Identifies opportunities for the sales pipeline and qualifies tailored solutions together with internal product experts and stakeholders • Executes the full sales cycle (relationship management, product pitches, negotiations, contract management, implementation, after-sales-service)• Delivers against sales and net revenue targets by positioning Mastercard's innovative products, services and platforms• Drives strategic projects with focus on commercial cards and cobrand cards• Leads and orchestrates cross-functional collaboration with internal teams across operational functions (e.g. marketing, advisors, product management, finance, legal)• Develops and conducts sales plans and regular business reviews, and tracks the most relevant KPIs, budgets and billings with different Mastercard tools• Manages day-to-day account activities including administrative and operational support, and ad-hoc customer requests
All About You:• Experience in business development or sales management, ideally in the payments/financial services industry with a track record in achieving sales targets and delivering multiple projects• Strong presentation and negotiation skills • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to quickly build fruitful relationships with customers and internal stakeholders • Strategic thinking and analytical mindset with experience interpreting financial data to drive business decisions and develop business cases with attention to detail• Hands-on mentality and high motivation, taking the initiative to generate new business • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business/Management; a Master's degree or MBA is a plus• Business fluency in German and English
