Title and Summary
Manager, Account Management - Acquiring & Acceptance
Overview:
Mastercard is a global technology company powering the payments industry. While our heritage is rooted in connecting consumers, merchants, financial institutions, and governments through one of the world's largest payment networks, today Mastercard is much more than a card network.
We leverage technology and lead innovation to help customers solve complex business challenges, accelerate growth, improve security, and deliver better experiences to consumers and businesses alike.

Beyond the existing portfolio, the account manager will be able to identify, engage, and develop relationships with new accounts and strategic prospects, thus contributing to Mastercard's long-term growth and market expansion.
This position combines strategic account management, consultative sales, and business development. The successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of customers' businesses, priorities, and growth ambitions, identify where Mastercard can create value, and bring together the right internal expertise to help customers achieve their objectives.
Success in this role requires a strong understanding of the payment's ecosystem, a passion for relationship building, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to position Mastercard's broad portfolio of products and services across payments, cybersecurity, fraud prevention, data & analytics, digital commerce, and value-added services.

All About You• Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for building long-term relationships both externally and internally.• Strong experience within the payments industry, with a solid understanding of the acquiring ecosystem and the broader payments value chain. Experience working for an acquirer, PSP, PayFac, processor, payment technology provider or merchant is a plus.• Demonstrated ability to manage and grow complex customer relationships while identifying and closing new business opportunities.• Ability to engage with both business and technical stakeholders and navigate complex customer organizations.• Genuine interest in technology and innovation, with the curiosity to continuously learn about Mastercard's expanding portfolio of solutions beyond payments.• Strong presentation and communication skills, with confidence speaking in front of both small and large audiences.• Strong project management capabilities and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across a highly matrixed organization.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform customer challenges into actionable business opportunities.• Highly proactive and results-oriented, with strong ownership and accountability; able to drive initiatives through to completion and find pragmatic solutions to complex challenges.• Collaborative team player capable of mobilizing cross-functional teams around customer priorities and business opportunities.• Contribute to Mastercard's market expansion strategy through prospecting and the acquisition of new strategic customers.• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.• Master's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
