The Impact You Will HaveThis position will lead the Account Advisor team that works with Blue Cross commercial accounts for MN clients & accounts in the 2-2,000 segment. The Manager of Account Advisors may also lead the team of associates responsible for account management for our business with 2-9 contracts. Additionally, they will be accountable for ensuring client/broker needs and product requirements are met for 2-2,000 business. This includes problem solving client and time-sensitive issues and executing or overseeing the implementation from concept to realization to ensure successful deployment. This leader will also be responsible for the identification and deployment of process improvement efforts across the 2-2,000 segment and providing leadership to ensure successful execution of initiatives identified in the strategic business plan.
Your Responsibilities- Directs Account Advisor staff on implementation of overall account support, margin contribution and retention strategy for the 2-2,000 segment.
- Ensures that client/broker needs and product requirements are met through the efforts of the Account Advisor.
- Oversees proper servicing of these accounts to ensure satisfaction, efficient and effective performance, and retention of business.
- Builds relationships and consults effectively with leadership across the Blue Cross organization, and the customer organization where appropriate, to help ensure business requirements are defined and expectations are set to maximize client satisfaction.
- Initiates, leads and/or participates as a subject matter expert in cross-functional projects at both an enterprise and market segment level to ensure that product or service design, implementation, performance improvements and new program initiatives adequately address the unique needs of customers.
- Leads initiatives and provides ad-hoc support to develop and deploy best practice processes, technology, training, and templates to improve the quality and effectiveness of the team’s performance for the segment as requested.
- Provides ad hoc support in performing the Account Advisor role as needed, including consultation on client-specific deliverables, travel in support of client, broker, or member meetings or other tactical needs to support efforts in executing against client requirements.
- 5+ years of related professional experience and 3+ years of experience leading a team. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- Possess and maintain a valid MN Resident Producer License in the lines of Life & Health/ Accident in good standing within 60 days of employment.
- Expert strategic planning and business planning skills.
- Proven personnel motivation, mentoring and change management skills to motivate and lead a skilled professional staff, including coaching, performance management, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, drive results and excel in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to build and maintain strong positive business relationships at all levels within Blue Cross and in the industry.
- Ability to navigate through a complex, matrixed organization and operate successfully in an environment with high level of ambiguity.
- Advanced knowledge of health care environment, local and national competition, leading edge products and account management strategies.
- Strong problem solving, conflict resolution, facilitation and consensus building skills.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of cross-industry practices, market and competitive drivers, and best practice design.
- High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Prior account management or sales experience.

Compensation and Benefits$102,400.00 - $138,300.00 - $174,200.00 AnnualPay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
