About this role:

This role is responsible for achieving the overall objectives and targeted revenues through the effective implementation of planning, selling and digital delivery strategies with Partners and University customers, maximising the sales of all Wiley products and services.

An efficient and collaborative working style is required. And an ability to make impactful commercial insights regarding our customers’ business/needs and to turn these into innovative solutions that meet those customer needs and our commercial requirements.

How you will make an impact:

  • Design and effectively implement sales visitation plans to higher education institutions and accounts assigned which are consistent with the overall sales strategy and territory coverage.
  • Update opportunities in tracker to effectively plan and design proposals with Partners to win, retain/renew adoption of our solutions
  • Develop and strengthen the quality of relationship and partnership with the decision makers, educators, professors and coordinators; institutions or departments.
  • Identify, approach and sign up partners in assigned region to promote and distribute Wiley products and services.
  • Jointly design and execute effective plans with partners to grow revenue.
  • Provide effective training to Partners’ sales teams
  • Make joint customer visits with Partners to help advance and win key opportunities
  • Identify and exploit new adoption business/new market with existing products/services; new products/services and customization opportunities; repurposing opportunities of existing content; new and complementary partners and new business models to drive aggressive revenue growth.
  • Work with partners to increase awareness of Wiley solutions in their territories
  • Promote and present confidently and convincingly in big groups and individuals utilizing digital/technology systems for digital products and services.
  • Use CRM effectively and attend regular catch ups with manager to discuss opportunities, feedback received, observations, upcoming sales plans, market trends, competition and any other issues.
  • Provide market intelligence on developments in the academic market and to input into strategy and tactics in response to any changes in the markets.
  • Provide sales plans, results and forecasts and adjust actions accordingly.

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in relevant technical or business field preferred
  • 5 years of specialized sales or technical experience with proven track record of success
  • Deep expertise in specialized product areas or vertical market segments with recognized industry standing
  • Demonstrated success managing large enterprise accounts and complex sales cycles
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and initiatives
  • Advanced technical knowledge with ability to influence product development and engineering decisions
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to C-level executives and industry leaders
  • Proven track record of thought leadership including speaking engagements and published content
  • Strategic thinking capabilities with understanding of market dynamics and competitive positioning
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience interpreting complex market data and customer insights
  • Global business experience with understanding of international markets and regulatory requirements
  • Established industry network with relationships at senior levels of customer and partner organizations
