Successful Individuals in the MT program will spend a year learning the fundamental aspects of what works to make Expeditors the global leader in logistics and supply chain management. Through the program, MTs gain critical on-the-job experience while learning basic management and organizational skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate to the Management Trainee Orientation meeting.
- Complete the monthly recap and presentations.
- Learn, understand and epitomize the Expeditors culture.
- Set an example of excellence in every taking.
- Fulfil full time employee training requirements.
- Complete relevant learning activities and training assigned.
- Attend leadership sessions.
- Complete relevant certifications.
- Understand and assist with operations of each dept.
- Understand the management processes used within each dept.
- Understand and assist with the responsibilities and duties of the supervisors/managers of each dept.
- Understand and work with the operational and financial reporting used by each dept.
- Assist dept managers in meeting productivity and expense to revenue goals within budget.
- Learn how to supervise and mentor employees.
- Develop interpersonal communication and management skills.
- Complete projects as required for selected depts.
- Attend all dept, sales, branch, accounting and management meetings if needed.
- Attend at least two product specific sales or retention calls for each dept.
TASKS:
- Meet and finalise schedule with Department Manager and Supervisor to ensure all items on MT Checklist are learnt and understood whilst in the current Department.
- Monthly meeting with Department Manager and DM to review time in Department, including any Improve Opportunities.
- Complete attachments in all assigned products and services following the Product/Service Checklist (inclusive of additional DM items).
- Identify and take note of operational inefficiencies in order to prepare for the Improve It Projects. Where possible, work with respective product and service managers to implement quick win changes.
- Complete all trainings required for the completion of the MT program.
- In addition to this, to perform tasks as requested by the District Manager.
