Description of role:

The management accountant will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the Accounts department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail independently. This role will utilize strong accounting knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving to ensure success.

Job Description:

• Be part of a team to ensure that monthly/yearly account closing as well as other ad-hoc reports is completed accurately according to corporate timelines/deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation regulations, banking practices, exchange control regulations and other regulatory requirements as well as ensuring that accounting treatment and transactions comply with the accounting policies, procedures, and requirements of the Company/Group.
• Maintain proper reconciliation of all General Ledger accounts with proper workings and propose best practices or corrections when necessary.
• Assist in the management of working capital and treasury functions ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs
• Assisting with internal and external parties on operational matters, financial requirements, statutory reporting needs, taxation, and audit including the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• Assist in coordinating, preparing the Annual Budget, Forecast and financial analysis by providing accurate financial data and insights.
• Participate in continuous improvement process projects such as automation, digitalization and other ad-hoc requirements assigned.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree and registered with a Professional Accountancy Body such as MIA or equivalent.   Strong working experience in financial reporting or accounting is required for this position. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance especially in MPERS/MFRS.

Required Skill(s): Analytical Skills, Full set of accounts, Tax Analysis, Problem-Solving skill. Well-versed in AutoCount/ERP Accounting software would be an advantage. Well-versed in Ms. Excel and Words is a must.

Required language(s) :English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin is preferred. Possess positive attitude, responsible, committed, ethical, result-oriented and able to work independently. Leadership experience and the ability to lead a team effectively
