Maintain financial records, ledgers, invoices, payments, reconciliations, credit cards, asset registers, and accounts payable and receivable. Support month-end and year-end close, payroll, VAT and regulatory returns, audits, and compliance with FCA regulations. The role assists the Senior Financial Controller while providing development alongside professional accounting studies.

We are looking for a passionate Part Qualified Accountant to join our growing team. Our Accounts team is based in Windsor but we have offices globally. This role will be working in the finance team assisting the Senior Financial Controller in all aspects of the finance lifecycle. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn alongside your studies.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments
  • Manage credit cards
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist in payroll processing
  • Management of asset registers
  • Support and assist with year-end financial audit queries
  • Assist in compiling regulatory returns
  • Adhere to Financial Conduct Authority Rules and Regulations
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures

RequirementsQualifications and Education requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or similar finance role
  • Experience with month-end close work
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
  • Experience supporting payroll processing
  • Experience supporting financial audits
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Holds a relevant accounting qualification such as AAT, a bookkeeping certification, or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
  • Experience working with auditors, payroll providers, banks, senior finance leadership, and internal budget owners
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Experience preparing VAT returns is a plus
  • Experience compiling regulatory returns is a plus
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with an extremely high attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Time management and the ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational, numerical, and analytical skills
  • Experience with Xero, Sage Intacct, and ADP payroll platforms is a plus
  • Experience with CRM software and Monday board is a plus
  • Experience with Spotlight consolidation and Flex reporting is a plus
