We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our Hawke’s Bay team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with operational leaders, support smart commercial decisions, and help keep the financial side of the business sharp, accurate, and moving forward.

You’ll partner with the Finance Manager, admin team, and wider business to deliver good work that matters. Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Support month end activities including journals, reconciliations, analysis, and P&L reviews with managers.

  • Assist with project forecasting, annual budgets, and business cases for capital expenditure.

  • Manage capital submissions and CAPEX administration.

  • Partner with quarry operations on production planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, and day-to-day accounting tasks.

  • Partner with all operational teams on financial analysis, P&L forecasting, and training on financial reports and business tools.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, reporting timetables and governance requirements

  • Support safe, compliant, and high-quality ways of working while contributing to projects and continuous improvement across the region.

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification and CA/CPA designation.

  • Experience in, or sound knowledge of, a civil contracting environment would be advantageous.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable, but not essential.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn financial information into practical, useful insights.

  • A proactive, accountable approach and confidence working both independently and as part of a team.

  • A collaborative style, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to safety, quality, and doing good work.
