Managed Cloud Database Administrator - PostgreSQL

Currently, we are looking for a Managed Cloud Database Administrator focusing on PostgreSQL to join our team in Poland. 

Your daily responsibilities:

• working in on-call rotation to respond to database incidents from various customer environments and DB engines,
• working on service requests for different DB admin activities such as backups, upgrades, performance analysis, DB provisioning,
• working on transition projects to take new customer environments into DB team support,
• working on small migration projects to move database workloads to the cloud,
• building solutions to automate the DBA Service,
• taking part in modernization projects for existing customers.

Your key skills:

• PostgreSQL DBA expierience 3+ years
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL architecture
• High availability and disaster recovery solutions for the databases
• Migration techniques and technologies
• Performance tuning skills
• Skills in automation and scripting
• Experience working with the external customers
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics in English
• Cloud expertise (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Hands on Linux experience with PostgreSQL installation, upgrade and patching
• Fluent communication skills in English 

Skills we'd consider a plus:

• Experience in any of the following DB engines: Oracle DB, MySQL / MariaDB, MS SQL Server, IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
• Datadog knowledge
• Skills in programming and scripting: Bash, Python, Power Shell
• Skills with Terraform or Ansible
• Hands-on experience with Data Warehouses and columnar databases
