The Opportunity:

The Director of Major Accounts Sales is responsible for leading and managing the sales strategy for their assigned book of business of major accounts within the organization. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, including engaging and growing their book of business. This role will report directly to the Senior Director, Major Accounts and will act as a liaison between the dealer and TrueCar. This role must understand the needs of the dealer and educate them on TrueCar products as solutions to their dealership needs. This position requires strong coordination with cross functional teams, including the Dealer Performance and Dealer support teams. 

How you’ll contribute to TrueCar’s success:

  • Identify, develop and close new business opportunities within existing accounts and develop strategies and execute to expand new accounts, ensuring cross-functional and organizational alignment. 
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with dealer senior leaders and decision-makers. 
  • Meet or exceed sales goals within the assigned book of business. 
  • Prepare and present proposals and negotiate terms and conditions with dealers to close high-value contracts and agreements. 
  • Learn about and become a subject matter expert on new or upcoming products and features, ensuring a high level of personal proficiency in knowledge of and functionality of products. 
  • Serve as a liaison between the dealer, account managers of major accounts, and operations dealer onboarding teams to ensure successful product implementation. 
  • Work closely with other departments including product development and customer support, to ensure alignment and address client needs effectively. 
  • Ensure all sales activity notes for assigned accounts are up to date within Salesforce and communicate properly with applicable team members. 
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management. Track and analyze sales metrics and adjust sales strategies for assigned book of business as needed. 
  • Serve as a change agent, leading change and acting as a catalyst for continuous improvement. 
  • Support in the management of account receivables for assigned accounts. 
  • Demonstrate a high level of attentiveness toward the customer and actively lead a culture that encourages high quality and sense of urgency. 
  • Display courage in addressing difficult situations, signing behavior with the organization’s position, needs and goals. 
  • Develop trusting relationships and open communication, accepting feedback up and down. 

Your Expertise: 

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding sales goals. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to listen for understanding and influence outcomes. 
  • Sales experience with digital marketing products required. 
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and other customer relationship management tool utilization. 
  • Must have a high level of experience interfacing with dealer contacts at various levels, with demonstrated ability to effectively present information including complex technical content and be responsive to dealer requirements and requests. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically by airplane or car including overnight trips up to 75% of the time.

Base salary + incentive: $180,000 - $210,000
