Position Summary

The F5 Government Solutions team has an immediate opening for a Major Account Manager (MAM). This roll focuses on sell-to and sell-thru revenue opportunities within the top federal systems integrators (FSI's) in the U.S. Federal market. The MAM will be responsible for understanding and influencing customer-specific technology requirements, resulting in the adoption of F5 Cloud and Application Delivery Solutions. You should have extensive experience working with FSI's, and should be familiar with the organizational makeup, core missions and strategies these organizations employ to capture business. The FSI MAM is responsible for all account communications, customer relationships, technology education and new business development. They are also responsible for constructing and executing account sales plans.

This role represents a great opportunity for sales leadership within the F5 Government Solutions team. It reports directly to the Federal SI Director and is a critical part of our government sales team. It requires a blend of skills and experience to provide F5 management with the forethought to define, develop and execute on our business plan objectives. This role represents an opportunity to guide F5 in its strategic investments as we scale to accelerate growth within the US Federal market.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Understanding of the FSI market - has key relationships, is proficient at selling technology and knows the program collection process
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with key technical, operational, and executives level customers
  • Execute a sales plan and account development strategies with emphasis on driving F5 products and solutions to produce net-new sales opportunities and incremental revenue growth
  • Ability to discuss and present the F5 value proposition, our various offerings and key, competitive differentiators
  • Maintain working knowledge of the federal industry, key technology trends and major programs and contract awards
  • Develop a collaborative, team-based environment, sharing standard methodologies and success and building lasting relationships
  • Responsible for upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 8+ years technology sales experience working with the federal government and systems integrators; strong expertise with enterprise solutions; exceptional sales, negotiation, organizational, creative, presentation, written and verbal interpersonal skills
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • A consistent track record of consistently overachieving sales quotas, while representing technical products or solutions
  • A current security clearance is desired; if not cleared, have the ability to obtain a SECRET level security clearance. Due to the nature of the U.S. Federal Business, U.S. citizenship is required

Physical Demands And Work Environment

  • Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 50% of the time spent traveling

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $151,200.00 - $226,800.00

The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
