You’ll be responsible for:
- Strategic Expansion: Developing account strategies to expand our API footprint and increase product adoption across API Hub (formerly SwaggerHub) which includes API Design, Portal, Contract Testing, and Test.
- Becoming a Trusted Advisor: Guiding platform and engineering leaders—from architects to CIOs—on how API Hub can accelerate their API strategy, improve governance, and consolidate spend.
- Driving Cross-Sell/Upsell: Uncovering and advancing multi-product sales motions by aligning SmartBear’s modular offerings to customer use cases.
- Enterprise Execution: Managing long and complex sales cycles, collaborating closely with Solutions Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to close high-value opportunities.
- Market Positioning: Educating customers on SmartBear’s competitive advantages vs. players like Postman, Kong, and others while leveraging recent recognition like our 2024 Gartner Leader status.
- 5–7 years of successful sales experience, including 1–5 years managing enterprise-level accounts in SaaS, DevOps, or API ecosystems.
- A track record of exceeding quota and driving complex, multi-product deals within Fortune 1000 organizations.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to build credibility with architects, directors, VPs, and C-level stakeholders.
- Experience navigating platform consolidation, DevOps transformation, or API-first initiatives.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sales tools.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
