Main Responsibilites:
  • Lead and execute the design and supervision of electrical systems with moderate autonomy, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and alignment with established corporate engineering standards.
  • Manage and coordinate electrical maintenance programs (predictive, preventive, and corrective) to support operational continuity, reduce downtime, and mitigate equipment-related risks.
  • Ensure adherence to electrical safety requirements, applying LOTO procedures, conducting risk assessments, and promoting best practices to protect personnel and facility assets.
  • Perform energy efficiency analyses and monitor key performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities, supporting initiatives that reduce energy costs and optimize resource utilization.
  • Coordinate electrical projects of moderate scope, including planning, budgeting, contractor oversight, and verification that deliverables meet technical specifications and timelines.
  • Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams, troubleshooting critical failures, validating installations, and assisting with the integration and commissioning of electrical equipment.
  • Maintain and manage technical documentation and compliance records, ensuring that drawings, reports, failure analyses, and other required documents are updated and available for audits and operational continuity.

What Skills You Need:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuit analysis, and power systems.
  • Experience with electrical design tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical failures and diagnosing equipment issues.
  • Understanding of industrial control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and automation technologies.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (NOM, NEC, IEEE, NFPA).
  • Knowledge of predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance strategies.

  • Application of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and electrical safety practices.
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices in low, medium, and high voltage systems.
  • Project & Operations Skills
  • Ability to coordinate electrical projects, including planning, budgeting, and contractor management.
  • Experience managing maintenance programs to support operational continuity.
  • Skills in energy efficiency analysis and monitoring of electrical KPIs.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
  • Strong analytical thinking for evaluating system performance and identifying improvements.
  • Capability to perform root-cause analysis and propose technical solutions.
  • Data interpretation skills for energy usage, equipment performance, and reliability metrics.

What Makes You Stand Out:
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer aided engineering and design tools to develop, review, and optimize electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with enterprise information systems, engineering processes, and standardized workflows for project execution.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, theories, and best practices as they relate to product development and operational environments.
  • Knowledge of machine behavior, equipment functionality, and manufacturing processes relevant to the business unit.
  • Awareness of competitor technologies, equipment, and control systems in the industry.
  • Understanding of enterprise processes such as the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP),Enterprise Technology Development Process (ETDP), and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross functional teams, influence technical decisions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (required). Degrees in related fields such as Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Energy Engineering may be considered when supported by relevant experience.
  • Strong academic foundation in power systems, circuit analysis, electrical machines, protection systems, and industrial automation.
