Job Description
Candidate will be responsible for coordinating z/OS, z/VM and Linux of Z operating systems. They will be Responsible for evaluating, planning, installing, and maintaining the z/OS Operating system and related software products. They are working with IBM and other Independent Software Vendors on a regular basis to implement solutions – as well as working with Broadcom, BMC, Rocket, They will be held to developing operational standards and design and implementation of various mainframe tech solutions. Some other responsibilities will include:
- Support and Lead maintenance activities, releases, and major OS upgrades
- Assist in evaluating and selecting major software and hardware subsystems for operational efficiency and to reduce operating costs
- Lead software upgrades and maintenance activities
- Assist in WLM tuning and Monoplex support
- Interact with other Mainframe SME's/resources during US hours
Required Skills & Experience
- HS disploma or equivalent with relevant mainframe experience
- Experience administering z/OS, z/VM and Linux of Z operating systems
- z/OSMF
- Experience with evaluating, planning, installing, and maintaining z/OS operating system
Preferred Skills & Experience
- WLM tuning
- Z/OS Operating Systems
- CICS
- TCP and VTAM
- Monoplex support
- DB2 administration
